Yes! This! Put a tennis ball (or whatever, if that's too big then something else.) Anyway, cut the legs off of a pair of pantyhose and put the ball in there. You put it over your shoulder and adjust it to where you want it, then lean against the wall. You can get that little guy under your shoulder blade and work out the knots. It's Heavenly. I used to keep one in my desk at my job. It was so helpful!

I never tried it with pantyhose. That would help keep it from falling. lol

 

I use a BackBuddy. You can put a nodule anywhere ya want, and hold pressure for 30 seconds or so.
You can feel the knot relax.

 

Well, for the front of the shoulder, she has me press the front of the shoulder against a solid doorjamb and lean hard against it, so my boobs are on the side with the open door and don't get smooshed. lol

 

I have a shiatsu pillow that I use for my lower back and glutes. It relieves the tension really well. You'd be surprised how much tension you can hold in your glutes.
